Diapers be gone!!

Well, the time has come for my baby to grow up! That's right, we're starting the potty training phase! Yeah, no more diapers, until the next one comes along anyway. I spoke to her Dr. yesterday and she gave me the go ahead. Izzy is only 19 months, but our Dr. seemed pretty sure that she was ready, so I'm going ahead with it. Bye bye diapers, hello big girl underwear! We're heading out to Utah tomorrow because my brother and sister-in-law just had their first baby, so as soon as we get back, Izzy is no longer a diaper kid. My Dr. seems to agree that putting them right into underwear, although a mess, is the best way to teach them. It should be interesting so I'll keep up the posts on how she does.

Wow! She's a big girl now! Very exciting. My sister is also potty training her 19-month old. Good luck to both of you.
Also, you're going to be in Utah...do you have time for lunch or something? I'd love to see you and Izzy!

that is what we did with Ethan (although we still did diapers at night) and it was a mess at times, but it really does work, he did regress when we moved but he was fine when we got settled. I'm going to start potty training with Aaron this summer, I think he is ready now he does it all himself, and want to, but I don't want to deal with regressing again, when the baby comes or when Will is gone. Good Luck! potty training it tons of fun!!!!

Great idea! As you know Bulgarians train their kids very early (before age of one or at least tried;), so I already bought a special seat (I know I am crazy) but A.J. doesn't like it. So I'm holding back for now.

Izzy is a big girl! Good luck and let me know if you use any tricks that work:)

Congrats on your new niece!

I, for one, am VERY excited for the updates on how my kid soils herself.

Actually, I'm just glad that I work 13 hours a day and don't have to be there to clean it up. That said, good luck, hun!

Good luck! It is quite a messy job, but it is nice when it is done! That is incredible if she is ready - big girl! Plus - little baby buns look so cute in little miniature underwear. :-) Let us know how it goes - and have fun in Utah. I hear it is cold!!!

Hill- IT's me Sabrina. I can't believe I found you. I seriously have been thinking about you soo much lately (like today.. no kidding) I was wondering how to get a hold of you. I know I could just call your mom, but come on that would be way to hard. Your little girl is adorable, but with a mom as pretty As you I would expect no different. Please email me with your number so I can call you. Thanks for the picture of me and my mom. It couldn't have come at a better time

Let me know how it goes... we are in the process too, and it's going pretty good, I think I'm the one holding on to the diapers more than Gretel :) Give me a call when you get back from Utah so we can get together.
