Sorry for all the changes

I have to say, I think I've got it. After playing around on the Internet for a while, (OK more like a couple of long nights) I think I've figured this blogger thing out, or hopefully changed it for the last time. From here on out I will only add posts and pics. I think. I have a problem with not being satisfied with what I create and find it challenging and interesting to try and come up with new stuff. I realize that it is really weird for you guys to check a totally different blog each time though, so I'll try to get my obsessive compulsive behavior under control. That being said, I like it. I really like it. I can't take all the credit though. I did some serious stalking and got some great ideas from other blogs out there. Me, a stalker? Yes, I must admit I did check out a few really cool blogs of whom I don't even know. I must thank Buddens for her link to Lizzy the Botanist. I had to check it out, the name just pulled me in. I'm glad I did though, cause it's really cute and got my mind going. Anyway, tell her good job for me. I'm sure she'll be glad to know that weirdos like me are checking out her blog. See Heid, you're not really a stalker. At least you check out people you know. So that's it. I can't promise I won't change it anymore, but I'll try to wait at least a week or so. HA! Here's a pic of Izzy wearing her sunglasses for your entertainment.

Isabelle's Latest

Alright, I don't know if it's just my kid or if everyone has trouble at this age. Isabelle is turning into a very opinionated toddler and she is testing my nerves almost everyday. It is nothing short of a miracle if I can get in and out of a store without a tantrum. Oh, and did I mention how LOUD she is. Seriously, I swear you would think I beat her up or something. She doesn't cry, she just screams and whines. It's not cool!! I feel like everywhere I go people are looking at me and thinking, "Why doesn't that lady shut her kid up". I try my best with an array of food, books, and drinks but no matter what I do I just can't seem to keep her calm. At first this attitude problem was just something new in my life and I tried to deal with it the best I could. At this point I'm pretty much sick and tired!! I love my little girl, don't get me wrong but that's just it, I want my sweet little girl back. This monster that is taking over has got to go. So this is her latest thing, asking me for an apple (yes, it's her favorite word now) and then spitting almost everything out onto the floor. Please tell me, is this only going to get worse? Is there any light ahead for me, or am I doomed to a life filled with the ever present glare of those who don't yet have children and those who don't want them? Advice please!!!!!

Sworn In

Last night we went to Haynes and Boone for Jer's swearing in ceremony. He was a bit disappointed that Judge Hughs couldn't do it, however at least he is an official attorney now. No more school and tests. In fact, since he already passed the patent bar as well, he really is done with tests for good. YIPPEE!! That sure takes the load off. I can't believe that it's really over. I remember thinking that he would never be done with school. Looking back, it really was a long six and a half years but it was all worth it in the end. It just seems so weird to think that he is really done. I was talking to a good friend of mine last week, (who's husband also passed the Texas bar!!) and I was telling her how weird it is to finally feel like real people. You get so used to living in a dorm room and being next to poverty level and it's really weird when all of the sudden things change. It's not a very gradual change either, which makes it even more weird. It's like one min you are poor and then the next min, you can buy a house. It's just crazy. Very good though, very good!!

Family Photos

So, I decided to post some of our family photos that were taken this summer. I know, I'm totally late on this stuff, but it's a lot easier than sending you all a bunch of photos. I'm really bad at that and at least I can do this when Isabelle goes to bed at night. We were going to make this a one year old photo shoot for Izzy only, but it ended up being a family affair. I guess I figured we hadn't had our pictures taken since we got married, so it was high time to do it again. Enjoy!!

PASSING THE BAR!!!!!

We found out today that Jer is an official Texas attorney! We are very proud of him and all of his hard work. It has been a long six and a half years of school, but it is all over now and very well worth the effort. It's a big relief to know that he is done! We are building a home in Spring Texas, which is just outside the big city of Houston. We should be moving over Thanksgiving, so we have a lot to be grateful for and it will really put the meaning in the Holiday for us. Way to go Jer!!

Happy Halloween!!

Well, it was a happy Houston Halloween! Isabelle went as Tinkerbell this year. I have to say, I wasn't all that impressed with the costume when I bought it, but when I put it on her she looked very cute. As soon as I got it on her she wanted to head outside and walk around. Her little wings bounced up and down with each step she took and she looked very grown up. Izzy is a little too young for trick-or-treating, so we went to the Children's Museum with some of our friends instead. It is a great place for kids of every age and it was really fun for the little ones who can't really participate in the whole candy thing. They had a bubble machine and a DJ playing little kids Halloween songs. Although she was very tired when we finally made it back home, I think she had a lot of fun. It was a great day and I can't wait to dress her up again next year!
