A Southern Shower

(The Bride, and Jer in the background)

(The Bride and her sisters)

(Cortney's cutie pie, Asher)

I've been really busy lately, but it's been a ton of fun. One of my good friends from NH who is like a little sister to me is getting married this weekend. Since she is getting married down here in Houston, we decided to throw her a shower yesterday. It was a little twist on a Southern Belle theme. Other than the food not being ready on time, it was a really great shower. Instead of mint julip, we had mint lemonade and we also had some of the most amazing desserts. I would have liked to have done more with magnolia's, since they are blooming right now and Houston is known as the Magnolia city, but most of the trees are in other peoples yards, so I didn't want to steal from them...plus, that's just weird. Anyway, thank you so much Bartletts for letting me go crazy with the party, Tessa is going to be a beautiful bride!!

Wow! Beautiful house. Can I move in? Serious kudo's on the decorating and that is coming from someone in the party/wedding business. (well kind of)

HILLARY... I was so not talking about you!! HAHAH I know you guys have worked WAY HARD... and I know your background and where you came from! I really wasn't being rude... I was just saying that as I was sitting there dwelling on my no money life, I realized I do have so much to be grateful for! hehe I really don't think that about you... I was looking at random people that I don't know.. and thinking how they have it so easy! Everyone does have their struggles... just money is the obvious one from the outside! You are a wonderful wife and mother, and you've always been a very unselfish friend ever since I've known you!

Yeah, the desserts were pretty good...oh, wait, the chicks scarfed them down before I got home, so I never got any.

Mormon dudes should have groom showers; I never had one. So, this is an official call to all my dude friends who may read this comment to send me a gift for getting married.

In fact, I'll hook up all of my married dude-friends who read this a $100 groom shower gift card from Home Depot if they send me something. No lie. I gots the hook-ups! Try me.

HAHAH seriously... I don't know Jeremy at all.. I think I only met him once at the gym? But he's funny! :) What is your email address? I have one your mom gave me... hillharrison@yahoo... is that right? I've tried to email you there, but you never respond, so get me a current one! If you would!!

I agree with Jer. I will get you something for your wedding present. Perhaps a coupon for a free pizza and drink from Checkmate pizza would be cool. Either that or Dominoe's new 4/4/4 deal. The last option is a "Class of 1825: Most likely to seceed" t-shirt. Your choice...

Hillary - you are amazing!!! Tessa (the bride - your 'lil sis') and her family are very blessed to have a friend like you. The shower was so much fun - the food was great - the decorations & your home were beautiful, and the hostess was very so gracious (in a friendly southernly way)! Thank-you for everything - we love you ~ Deb
